What happens
What the call actually is
Thirty minutes, no slide deck. The aim is that you finish it better informed even if you never speak to us again.
CEO · Registrar-trained lead auditor
You'll be talking to the person who does the work, not a salesperson passing you on. Tony has worked inside certification bodies as a project manager and lead auditor across quality, environmental, health & safety and electronics recycling.
You describe the operation
Sites, scope, what you process, target audit date if you have one.
We tell you what you're facing
Which requirements will bite, roughly how long it takes, what it tends to cost.
You get a straight answer on fit
Including when you don't need us, or when a different consultant is closer to you.
If it makes sense, we scope it
A written plan with a fixed fee follows. Nothing starts before you've seen it.
Fair questions
What do engagements typically cost?
Most fall between $4,000 and $12,000 in consulting fees, quoted as a fixed price against a written scope before anything starts. What moves the number is how much system you already have, how many sites, headcount and which standard. Your certification body's audit fees are separate and paid directly to them. More on what drives the price.
Is this actually free, or is it a sales call?
Free, and there's no charge for the advice you get on it. We're a consultancy, so obviously we'd like the work, but the fastest way to lose it is to oversell someone who needs something simpler. If you can handle it in-house, we'll say so.
Do I need to prepare anything?
No. Turn up and talk. If you happen to have your scope statement or a recent audit report handy it speeds things up, but nothing is required. Taking the readiness assessment first is the single most useful three minutes you could spend, since it means we start from your actual gaps.
We're already certified — is this still relevant?
Yes. A good share of our work is surveillance audit preparation, closing findings, standard transitions, and taking over maintenance from someone who left. Certification is the start of the obligation, not the end of it.
Can you also be our certification body?
No, and nobody can. A consultant who builds your system cannot audit it for certification. That independence is a requirement of the scheme. We stay entirely separate from registrars, which also means we've no incentive to steer you toward a particular one.
Are you anywhere near us?
We're in Troy, Michigan and work across the United States. Most implementation runs remotely; we come on-site for audits, training, and the parts where being in the building genuinely matters.
