Terms of use
What this website is, what it isn't, and the limits of what anything on it can be taken to promise.
These terms reflect how the site is actually structured and the commitments made across it, but they have not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have counsel check them — particularly the limitation of liability and governing law sections — before publishing.
The short version
- This site is information, not advice for your specific situation.
- We are not a certification body and cannot certify anyone. Nobody who builds your system can.
- We don't guarantee certification outcomes, and quoted timelines are typical ranges, not promises.
- Confirm any date or deadline you read here with your certification body before planning around it.
- Use our checklists internally as much as you like. Don't republish our content as your own.

1. Acceptance
By using wilkshireconsulting.com you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. These terms govern use of the website only — consulting engagements are governed by the written scope and agreement signed for that work.
2. What this site is
An information resource about management system certification and about the services Wilkshire Consulting LLC provides. Nothing on it constitutes legal, regulatory or professional advice for your specific situation. Certification requirements depend on your operation, your scope, your jurisdiction and your certification body's interpretation.
Reading this website does not create a consultant-client relationship. That begins with a written scope and a signed agreement.
3. We are not a certification body
This matters enough to state plainly. Wilkshire Consulting provides consulting, implementation, training, documentation, internal auditing and maintenance support. We do not perform certification audits and we do not issue certificates.
Certification audits and certification decisions are made independently by accredited certification bodies. A consultant who builds or internally audits a management system cannot certify it. That separation is fundamental to how certification schemes work. We have no preferred registrar and no exclusive arrangement with any of them.
4. No guarantee of outcomes
We do not guarantee that any organization will achieve or maintain certification, and we do not represent that certification will be easier, faster or cheaper through any particular certification body. Audit outcomes are determined by the certification body based on the evidence available at the time of audit.
Timelines quoted anywhere on this site. Three to six months for ISO, four to six months for R2v3, and similar — are typical ranges based on our experience, not commitments. Actual timelines depend on scope, resource, existing systems and auditor availability.
5. Accuracy and standards changes
We make a genuine effort to keep this site accurate, including clause references, version status and transition dates. Standards are revised, transition deadlines are set by accreditation bodies, and certification body policies differ.
Nothing here replaces the published standard itself, the applicable code of practices, your legal or regulatory obligations, or what your certification body tells you in writing. Where we cite a date or a deadline, confirm it with your certification body before planning around it.
6. Quizzes and checklists
The readiness quizzes and downloadable checklists are practical self-assessment tools. They cover selected high-risk areas rather than every requirement, and a good score is not a prediction that you will pass an audit. They do not replace a gap analysis, an internal audit, or the standard itself.
7. Program terms
The Referral, Recognition and Partnership programs each carry their own terms, set out on those pages. Where those terms conflict with these, the program terms govern that program. We may modify or terminate any program at our discretion.
8. Intellectual property
The content of this website — text, layout, graphics and downloadable materials — belongs to Wilkshire Consulting LLC unless stated otherwise. You may read it, print it and share links to it. You may use our checklists internally within your organization, including across your sites.
You may not republish our content as your own, resell it, or present it as another consultancy's material.
9. Trademarks
R2 and RIOS are trademarks of SERI (Sustainable Electronics Recycling International). ISO is a trademark of the International Organization for Standardization. Certification body names referenced on this site are trademarks of their respective owners. Reference to any of these does not imply affiliation, partnership or endorsement in either direction.
Tony Kropinski is listed in SERI's R2 Consultant Directory, which reflects completion of SERI's R2v3 Auditor training course. SERI does not endorse consultants listed in the directory, and we make no claim to be "SERI-certified" or "R2 accredited."
10. Third-party links
We link to external resources including SERI, certification bodies and standards organizations, because they are the authoritative sources. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy or availability. A link is not an endorsement.
11. Limitation of liability
This website and its content are provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wilkshire Consulting LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss arising from use of this website or reliance on information published here, including decisions about certification scope, timing, standards selection, certification body selection, or planning around a published deadline.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects the terms of a signed consulting agreement, which governs that engagement.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from use of this website shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Oakland County, Michigan, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
We market our services primarily in the United States. Where we accept engagements outside the United States, that work is governed by the agreement signed for it.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top reflects the current version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
