Referral program
Know someone facing a certification they aren't ready for?
Introduce them. If they become a client you get 10% of the engagement, up to $1,500, and there's no limit on how many referrals you can make.

- $1,500Maximum per referral

How it works
Three steps, and you're only involved in the first
Make the introduction and you're done. You won't be asked to run sales conversations or chase follow-up, and you're not required to stay involved — though you're welcome to.
Make an introduction
Use the form below, or just email an introduction connecting us. Let your contact know we'll be reaching out. A warm introduction lifts response rates considerably.
We do the work
We contact them, have a discovery conversation and determine whether there's a mutual fit. If there isn't, there's no pressure and no obligation on anyone.
You get rewarded
When they become a paying client, your reward is issued. You're notified when the agreement is signed, when the first payment is processed, and when your reward goes out.
What you actually get
Paid on the initial engagement, once the first client payment has been received. Reward details are confirmed once a referral is qualified.
Several of our referrers use it to offset their own auditing and consulting costs — there's no cap on how many you send.
of the engagement value
- Maximum $1,500 per successful client referral
- No limit on the number of referrals you submit
- Issued 30 to 60 days after the first client payment
- Paid on every business that becomes a client
- We'll need a completed W-9 before we can pay you
Who to refer
The situations worth flagging
We work best with organizations that value clarity, execution and measurable outcomes. If you're not sure whether someone's a fit, send them anyway — we're happy to evaluate.

Two ways to do this
The better way: email an introduction connecting us, copying info@wilkshireconsulting.com. A warm introduction from someone they trust gets a far better response than a cold email from us, and it means nobody is surprised to hear from a stranger. The reward is identical.
Or use the form. If you'd rather hand it over, fill this in and we'll make contact. When we do we'll say who referred us, that first message is an introduction rather than a pitch, and if they'd rather not hear from us we delete their details and stop. Please tell them to expect us.
Referral received — thank you.
We'll reach out to them shortly and keep you posted at each stage. Questions in the meantime: info@wilkshireconsulting.com.
Exclusions and limitations
Worth reading before you refer, so there are no surprises later.
- Initial engagement onlyReferral rewards apply to the initial contract or engagement. Renewals, expansions and additional services are not commissionable.
- New clients onlyRewards apply to businesses not already in active discussions with, or contracted to, Wilkshire Consulting at the time of referral.
- Signed contract and payment requiredNo reward is due for leads that don't result in a signed contract and payment received.
- Cancellation and refundsIf a referred client cancels, defaults or receives a refund, any unearned portion of the referral fee may be withheld or recovered.
- Qualification is at our discretionAll referrals are reviewed and qualified by Wilkshire Consulting, and we determine whether a referral qualifies for a reward. Submitting a referral doesn't guarantee we'll enter into an engagement.
- Independent contractor relationshipA referrer acts as an independent contractor and not as an employee, agent, partner or representative of Wilkshire Consulting, with no authority to make representations or commitments on our behalf.
- Tax reportingReferral rewards are reportable income. Before we can issue payment we need a completed Form W-9, and where payments to you reach the IRS reporting threshold in a calendar year we will issue a Form 1099-NEC. One referral on a typical engagement is usually enough to cross it, so plan on receiving one. We don't withhold tax and we can't advise on your position — talk to your accountant.
- Program changesWilkshire Consulting may modify or terminate the referral program or its terms at any time without prior notice.
Questions
Common questions
Do I have to be a Wilkshire client to refer someone?
No. Current and past clients, professional partners and vendors, past collaborators, industry peers and trusted contacts are all welcome to participate.
How much is the reward?
10% of the engagement, capped at $1,500 per successful client referral, issued 30 to 60 days after we receive the first client payment. There's no limit on the number of referrals you can submit.
What if I'm not sure they're a good fit?
Send them anyway. We're happy to evaluate, and if it isn't a fit we'll say so without pressure on them or on you.
Do I have to be involved in the sales process?
No. Once you've made the introduction we handle contact, discovery and qualification. You're welcome to stay involved if you'd like to, but nothing requires it.
When do I get paid?
Once the referred business becomes a paying client and we've received the initial payment. You're notified when the agreement is signed, when the first payment processes, and when your reward is issued 30 to 60 days later.
Will I get a tax form?
If your referral payments reach the IRS reporting threshold in a calendar year, yes — a Form 1099-NEC. One referral on a typical engagement is usually enough to cross it. We need a completed W-9 from you before we can issue payment, and it's worth mentioning to your accountant.
What happens to my contact's details if they say no?
We delete them and stop contacting them. No follow-up sequence, no adding them to a list. That's their right under our privacy policy, and we'd honour it regardless.
Is there a limit on referrals?
No. Several referrers use the rewards to offset their own auditing and consulting costs.
