From nothing to certified in under six months

The problem

Enterprise ITAD contracts increasingly come with one non-negotiable: certified downstream vendors. This multi-state recycler was scaling quickly and losing bids on that clause alone. It had never pursued a management system certification of any kind: no documented procedures, no environmental program, no formal data sanitization controls, and no internal audit history to build from.

What we did

• Conducted a full gap analysis against R2v3 Core Requirements and applicable Appendices (A, B, C)
• Built the recycler's complete integrated R2-QEHS documentation suite, more than 30 controlled documents, from the ground up
• Developed the downstream vendor qualification program and Appendix A vendor chain documentation
• Implemented a data sanitization SOP and verification records aligned to Appendix B requirements
• Planned and executed the pre-certification internal audit, compliance evaluation, and management review
• Provided Stage 1 and Stage 2 audit preparation support; zero major NCs issued at certification
